German Windows
Millennium Windows and Doors are designs for the American market by American engineers crafted with German windows quality. All of our glass windows are double-paned and of the highest quality found anywhere.

Until now the window market in the United States was still difficult to access for European manufacturers due to the specific window types, there is now an increasing demand for European window technology, especially in the high-end market. Single-glazed windows ‘over there’ are still not uncommon – low energy costs and a suitable climate in some countries have so far allowed this ‘luxury’.
For some time now, however, there has also been a harsher wind on the American market. In the state of New York, for example, new building codes have been introduced since 2003, which among other things regulate the wind load on the windows. The regions are divided into ‘Wind Speed Zones’ 1-3. In the highest wind speed zone 3, loads of more than 130 miles per hour must be passed. These loads are checked by the so-called ‘missile test’, whereby the load caused by objects being whirled around and hitting a window is simulated.
Existing single glazing was designed specifically for this load. At the same time, the thermal transmittance coefficients for windows have now been reduced and the single-glazed windows can no longer meet the requirements for energy efficiency. With double glazing the last would not be a problem, In this environment, there is a very good market opportunity for German windows in the USA, after which the Tilt & Turn hardware that dominates us is slowly gaining a foothold in America as well. Although not only tilt and turn windows but also classic ones Sliding windows are produced in Austria and exported to the USA.
